I am looking to find a car simulator program to use it in a drivers learner
center.
Does anyone know such a program (Not of UK)??
Thank you

I saw such a program recently when I was at Business Depot here in
Canada. Can't remember the name though.

Sierra puts out a program called "Driver's Ed 99" which may suit your
needs. Go to this URL:
http://www.sierra.com
then click on "store"
from the pull down menu, choose 'driver's ed 99' to see little blurb
about it and some screenshots.

Try Midtown Madness.

Was it Drivers Education '99 by Sierra?
https://store.sierra.com/ObjectBuilder/ObjectBuilder.iwx?processName=ProductPageSierraSKU&Merchant_id=1&SKU=70490
It's a tool for learning how to drive: Turning signals, checking mirrors, etc.

Ehh... I'm affraid that could lead to some nasty driving habits Slot
:)
Andre
I have this title, figuring n2 was some part influencing in the code...
NOT... it wont hardly work with the Thrustmaster t2 which I handed down
with the game to my 10 year old daughter... after an hour trying to get the
t2 to work with it, I gave up... funny it wants to work with my Nascar pro?
Oh well, she'll kick your butt in Monster truck madness, so who needs
drivers ed?
But I digress.... the title is neat in the sense of teaching you about
rules and stuff, but its driving sim is very bad, I mean really bad. worse
than that arcade game I loved as a kid, ZZZZAP (driving a datsun z car down
a path marked with light bars on pong like video screen was better that this
sim...
maybe PAPy could go down that path, now that HEAT has kicked some butts
with its release? I could easily see the GPL engine used in defensive
driving/ drivers ed software!!!!
My final thoughts? Use Drivers ed 99 to take the tests and then run midtown
madness (I assume it has a "cruise the town" mode play?)
my 2 cents

Seriously, some months ago I was asked to bring my computer and wheel
to work beacuse some driver-teachers who was here trying our
full-scale simulator was also going to try to drive Midtown Madness.
It was a great laugh, because non of them was able to adjust to
simdriving. One of them almost tore my MSFF to pieces because he
thought the wheel had the same lock angle as a real life wheel
(several rotations). We are hopefully going to do some reaseach this
fall to see what simdriving can offer for real life practice.

Especially just let them
try to get by the 15 car pileup. That will teach car control and looking
ahead. You can also let them drive the "Block the leaders so your team mate
can win" one. That teaches good defensive driving...good to know if someone
is really pissing you off.
