Since installing the new drivers, I lockup hard everytime I start GPL. I get to the Sierra Sports screen and I'm locked and have to do a Reset. I'm running 1.2.0.1 HELP!! Any ideas? Sorry if this is an old topic. I did a Deja search, but found nothing. GPL (Glide) locks up when I try to use 2X FSAA. 'Fastest Performance' and 4X work fine, though fps drop a little bit at the start of a race on 4X. So, I would prefer 2X since no FSAA looks and performs similarly to my former Banshee card. Is this common or just me? Thanks for any help. System (nothing overclocked): PIII 667 on Asus P3V4X (VIA Apollo Pro133A Chipset) 128MB Ram Voodod5 AGP - Latest 'official' drivers(July 21) Directx 7.0a

Gpl did this to me as well with 4X FSAA, but I just tried it, 2X FSAA with the new drivers and....it WORKED,....got to go try a race with it now on 2X FSAA..... -- Edward Middle-Aged Racers Association....Legends in Their Own Minds "TRM" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:Uy9A5.15153$[email hidden]... > Sorry if this is an old topic. I have the following system and have no problems running GPL at 1074x768 with full graphics, details set to high, and 2xFSAA. AMD K7-800 Thunderbird Voodoo5 5500AGP Creative Labs Live X-Gamer 64 128MB SDRAM DirectX 7.0a Joel Willstein [email hidden]

Well, does it lock, or does it just take its time....Wait for 15 minutes, and when it gets to the mainmenu after all, you've to put the next line in the CORE.INI, found in the GPL directory. [ Communications ] disable_modem = 1 This can happen when you use an internal PCI modem... Remco "Frank Koenig" <[email hidden]> wrote:
