Pul out your wallet, and prepare to spend big time if optimum is your
standard. If not,it will run nicely on a PIII 600 with 128 MB ram and a
decent 3D card (Geoforce,V3 3000,V5!;)

Which spec do I need to run GP3 optimally?
Tor
Or.... If you don't have one of the great new video cards, then make sure
you try to get a 733 (133 FSB) or better CPU..

For comparison to other posters, here's mine...
SYSTEM:
1GHz Thunderbird
512MB RAM
Asus A7V mobo
Hercules 3D Prophet II GTS 32Mb
nVidia Detonator3 drivers
WinME (DirectX 7.1)
GP3:
1280x1024 (Hardware)
Processor Occupancy between 40% and 60%
(note : at Start Line PO is about 90%)
I have not tweaked the OS or game graphics options in any way. I have
left everything in its default state.
Note that PO is significantly higher in Win2000.

I'm running it on a PIII 600, 128mb RAM, 64mb V5 5500 and it runs it fine.
About 50-60% processor occupancy in practice which goes up to around 90% at
the start of a race.
