My copy of Nascar Heat finally made its' way across the Atlantic and arrived yesterday. This evening I decided to give the Beat the Heat option a try. Unfortunately, when I try to run Beat the Heat, I get a message saying "You are a spectator" and am unable to drive. I am running the patched version 1.1e on a P3 800 PC with a V3 2000 graphics card running Windows ME. The other parts of the sim work fine, it is just Beat the Heat that isn't working. Is this a problem with the patch? The demo version worked fine on the same PC. Did you modify the drivers.txt? It looks like people are removing the "hasbro car", and so in the challenges where the player drives this car it's not available. We'll try to find a way to work around this, but in the meantime you can try either adding the hasbro car back in or just deleting drivers.txt, which will make the game use the preset driver list. If this isn't the problem, please post again. Thanks. -Dave P. MGI "Paul D. Yuknis" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:pqPB5.41359$[email hidden]...
