It would be a really nice Christmas present if those nice folks who brought us
Nascar Heat would bring out a track expansion pack somtime over the next few
months, preferably with lots of roadcourses. Afterall, alot of us videogamers
will have some extra money burning holes in our pockets, given that there will
be a huge shortage of Playstation 2's.
Just a thought !
I wonder if there will be any third party tracks? I seem to think that no
one was able to do anything with the Viper racing tracks so I guess it will
be the same with NH. That ignites another thought! How diificult would it
be to convert Viper tracks to NH?

No disrespect for x3wide and co, but I can race all the tracks at night just
by adjusting the contrast on my monitor !
No one seemed to be able to do anything with Viper because most of the
serious editors migrated to GPL. If someone like Noonan would have the
interest in a game like Viper, maybe they would have some tracks, but I
guess the serious editors stick with serious games. Viper could have been
serious, if only you weren't racing next to cliffs with a max of 7 other
people.

their tracks to the collection without having to replace an original one so
that is good new as far as that is concerned. However, the real trick is yet
to be seen when someone manages to edit an actual course layout...
There are new cars, new drivers and even new pit guys out already for a
relatively new game...recently only GP3 has had faster mods from the
community and that was because much of it was easily ported from the GP2
mods.
If the good folks at MGI are listening maybe they will drop some hints to
their gang of developers to help get some tracks started...or maybe they are
just waiting because they are going to release an editor and other tracks?

Considering this is unlikely, it's a shame NASCAR don't have more road
courses. You really don't appreciate the physics modelling as much when
driving round an oval. I find I spend 85% of my time at Watkins Glen and
it's VERY satisfying.

copying the sky texture from richmond into all the tracks ain't
exactly rocket science. Anyone can do it.
