Yeeeehaaaaw... it works. I'll be on and off this url for the next hour
trying its reliability.
Thanks a lot.

Does anybody know how to get connected regularly ???
Uwe how about a mirror of the GPLRank on a fast NT based server ??
I know the Linux/Windows battle is a religious struggle for those involved,
but I just want to be able to access the Rank on a more regular basis.
How about RAS sponsoring a www.gplrank.com domaine for Uwe to play with ??
And no, I have no idea how that could be done, I know I can't email Uwe
5$.......
Mikkel

Sorry, missed that, you sure you got it right, I had the same problem as
you and did the fix and haven't had a problem since....
Can you get to ringlord.com ?

That makes no sense at all to me, cause with the DNS fix, you should now
basically be your own DNS server for gplrank.....or have I got my bits
and pieces all mixed up here, DNS and IP networking is not my forte ?

No person's opinions can be said to be
more correct than another's, because each is
the sole judge of his or her own experience.

implementing your idea will have the opposite effect ;-) . The
server has been fine and accessible for weeks, it's the DNS
records for ringlord.com that are hosed some of which sadly are
not yet under our direct control (digex.net and blackboard
disagree about the ip address).
Meanwhile, use the "host fix" in order to access gplrank
reliably. Thanks for your patience.
