In the RAS of 2010 I can see we will all be lamenting the passing of the "Amateur" on-line racer! Of course there will still be the obligatory GPL posts and Eldred will finally have a negative GPL handicap! I won 500 bucks at a LAN racing event in Dallas TX in 1998. I think there were various leagues paying cash to win on TEN with N2. -- Pat Dotson Doug Milliken wrote: > > On Tue, 3 Oct 2000, Barton Brown wrote: > > > "Bruce A. Apparently I've been living under a cabbage leaf, but this is the first I've heard of this -- what a cool idea! Fortunately, I'm so lousy I wouldn't be tempted anytime in the imaginable future to take part, but what a great concept... where does the money come from? Is it all entry fees, or do your site sponsors kick in, too? v.cool BB

Silicon Motor Speedway has been racing for money for a couple of years now, but you do have to go to their sites (over a dozen in the USA) to race and qualify for the finals. <http://www.smsonline.com>
