the act-labs is very strong round the centre, better than the act labs to, but there is hat really cool new add-on for the ms ff wheel. -- Kieran www.pcracing.co.uk for GP3 and WSC Skeeter <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > Ok,Ive decided on the Sidewinder Precision Pro Racing Wheel. As it > stands now I already have a LWFF but dont like FFB at all since I am > actually slower with it on.I use the LWFF in non-ffb mode and it is > terribly loose around center prompting me to go and spend some more > cash for GPL:( > > But before I hit the send button and let the online store take my > cash I have to find out some things about this wheel. > > Very important to me is a wheel with a very strong return to > center feel to it.This is all good and dandy if it stays that way > though.I was tightening or changing my T2's bungee cord almost every > other day to maintain the tight feel I so craved.Does the Sidewinder's > bungee lose its tightness rather quickly??If so is the bungee as hard > to change or tighten as the T2's was?? > > Second is about the pedals.I have read good things about the > Sidewinders pedals but I have also read about owners enhancing the > pedals with great results.Anyone have suggestions? > > Thanks > >

Ok,Ive decided on the Sidewinder Precision Pro Racing Wheel. As it stands now I already have a LWFF but dont like FFB at all since I am actually slower with it on.I use the LWFF in non-ffb mode and it is terribly loose around center prompting me to go and spend some more cash for GPL:( But before I hit the send button and let the online store take my cash I have to find out some things about this wheel. Very important to me is a wheel with a very strong return to center feel to it.This is all good and dandy if it stays that way though.I was tightening or changing my T2's bungee cord almost every other day to maintain the tight feel I so craved.Does the Sidewinder's bungee lose its tightness rather quickly??If so is the bungee as hard to change or tighten as the T2's was?? Second is about the pedals.I have read good things about the Sidewinders pedals but I have also read about owners enhancing the pedals with great results.Anyone have suggestions? Thanks

return to center is strong, just right i think.I'm not sure what microsoft uses for centering the wheel but ive used my wheel for about 2 months no problems.also no complaints about the pedals either.also the software lets you setup how much sensitivity and dead zone, and you can map the buttons on the wheel.only complaint would be if you like to shift the buttons behind the wheel are kinda awkward... I squeezed a squash ball underneath my brake pedal, it adds a nice amount of progressive resistance and makes braking that much easier in GPL, I know as soon as I need to use some effort on the brake pedal I am going to start locking up. For my point of view these wheels sucks terribly!!! Im back with my old T2 (now every inch of it, changed many pots, springs, bungee cord and even splitted axis on the pedals), MS uses a double action torsion spring for centering wich provides excellent return but adds an horrible center detent that I just couldnt live with. The pedals are ok but didnt enjoyed the pressure neither the travel. I cant make you a suggestion but for me it didnt worked. Also had a very big dead spot. The clamping is ok. The plastic wheel is too hard is you plan long runs. For me, it doesnt worth the money. And my biggest disappointment was to see just another pot in it, didnt this was a digital thing? Good luck if you get it lito
