Check out this article on the Ducati controller, http://news.motorcycle.com/968185504 don

It's a combination 'standard' wheel, more-or-less-F1 wheel, handlebars and flight yoke. It's not new - been around for about 18 months, IIRC. It's quite clever, actually. And a pretty good price. As a conventional (non-FF) wheel it's not at all bad - it handled GP2 quite satisfactorily. (I can't speak for the handlebar mode as I've never used it in that configuration, though. The flight yoke mode is *not* particularly good - best to buy a dedicated yoke or stick to a joystick for flying.) I only recently moved up to a FF-wheel. But I still have the Zykon, in case the Logitech fails... Martin D. Pay I got mine from Special Reserve...

I read recently about a new motorbike 'handle bar' controller that is to be for sale shortly. Can't remember where I saw the article on it, but I wondered if anyone knew when such a device would be available, and for how much (in the UK). Sorry to be so vague. PJ

I haven't used one of these first hand, but I do remember a games controller similar to this being in an article in a games magazine some time ago. If memory serves, it didn't receive much praise. Supposedly, it felt like a cross between a steering wheel and joystick, rather than an independent controller. On the same page was a review of a yoke stick, for flight simulators, which suffered from similar problems. This was a couple of years ago, mind you, so the technology may have moved on since then - the games certainly have. Would you really want to dish out on a motorcycle handlebar controller, no matter how good it may be, considering that there really aren't very many motorcycle simulators on the market. I can think of around 5, only a couple of which are any good.

I can think of around 5,only a couple of which are any good. It only needs one good one ... and there are two. GP500 for the simulation purist and SBK for the fun race and ride - for track. Motocross Madness 1 and 2 - for off-road MotoX I just need to be able to lean the set and get my knee down with nice scraping noises :-) Bad-Boy

How can a game controller support the physics of motorcycle steering? At low speed you pull the left bars you will turn left, but as you reach any kind of speed countersteering comes into effect. At speed pull left bar which makes bike lean right and you turn right. I would imagine to overcome this limitation we would need both hardware and software bundle. This setup would also need pedals for shifting and rear brake. I believe it was a controller made by Dukati. I can't remember where I read about it, but I'm sure if you goto the Dukati site you'll find something about it. -DElvr -- looking for some great online racing? > I read recently about a new motorbike 'handle bar' controller that is tobe > for sale shortly I'm waiting for a sim where I can feel the wind in my face and really lean into turns with my body. A handlebar controller would be great! rms [email hidden]
