Just thought I would pass along my experience recently, when I had to replace a part on my Act Labs wheel. It seems the cord running from the pedal base, to my computer, was on the losing end of a battle with my vacuum cleaner. (hmmm... what's that burning smell, oh its the cord winding around the vacuum cleaner brush head) Anyways I called Act Labs asked them about getting a replacement for the cord. They told me to email them with my address etc. 3 days later I received the cord in the mail. NO CHARGE! Unbelievable, even though my wheel is almost 2 years old, they were nice enough to replace the cord gratis. I've always been impressed with ActLabs customer service guys responding to peoples questions in news groups, and other forums, and now I've had the chance to experience their customer service, first hand. This just confirms the opinion I already had, great wheel, from a great company! eejit
I have had a similar experience with Act Labs. These guys have always provided first-rate customer service. "eejit" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

I think I will get a Act Labs wheel if my LWFF gives up....sounds spot on! Unfortunately they will HAVE to get their mail price quotation service changed - $107 for shipment of Wheel + Shifter to UK - it would be cheaper to fly to the netherlands and pick it up in person ;) - actually thats not a bad idea!! Sad to say...this sounds VERY similar to the way the Old Thrustmaster guys used to do business. They personally backed up their products. now.... :( dave henrie > > This just confirms the opinion I already had, great wheel, from a > great company! > > eejit
The ACT Labs bits can be found at www.softwarefirst.com in the UK. eejit <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > Just thought I would pass along my experience recently, when I had to > replace a part on my Act Labs wheel. snip

Ditto. I have to give major kudos to ACT LABS on their customer service. I used to own a Logi wheel before I owned a Force RS. 1 week after my warranty expired, my friggin accelerator died. I tried calling logitech tech support and I had to wait 45 minutes. Then the guy says, "we do not sell parts. And since your warranty is over, you are SOL." F**cker. Not so with ACT LABS. They have a toll free number AND they have always called me back right away. eejit <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...
