Hi,
I finally got my newly acquired 12 meg Voodoo2 to run after numerous
installation attempts and difficulties. I am wondering if there is a way to
make Glide 2.53 run as fast as 2.56 does on my machine. I have the latest
reference drivers installed and 2.56 runs 36fps solid on my machine, but
2.53 runs about an average of 34 or so plus it surges up to 39 or 40 and
makes driving difficult. I have tried George Smiley's glide2x program but
i'm not sure if I am using the correct parameters. The reason I would like
to use 2.53 is that 2.56 causes GPL to hang on exit about every 4th time I
play the game. Also, anyone have any idea why installing my Voodoo2 would
make my HP scanner quit working in Windows98 and also cause windows to
freeze and reboot, then reinstall the card and drivers again? sorry that is
OT but I need all the help I can get :-)
Time to party!
thanks for any help!
Ryan
Your scanner is probably trying to use the same IRQ as your voodoo card.
Plug and Pray doesn't always clear these issues up. Check the properties
for both to see if they are confusing each other...in the control panel,
system, device manager.
