Insane is going to be the first game that Codemasters uses to unveil CMN and so we are testing both the game and the network together. Its great, but its not quite ready for 'prime time.' Its a little more complicated than the excellent race finder(s) that JDeere made for nascar heat. Also, I havent heard of anyone getting a wheel to work in the demo (damn it!) and thats too bad because wheels and pedals rule :) I dont know who makes the decision to make a demo keyboard only, but it makes me sad. The bright side is that the car handling with a wheel feels very good and the different terrains drive well. Its not a game where you have your right foot planted the whole time. I have had some amazing races in nascar heat, but you are at the mercy of the people who join. One bad apple can really mess things up. In Insane you arent at anyones mercy- lesser drivers simply lose. That one specific aspect of online racing in Insane makes online races feel 'idiot-safe.' Found the answer to my own question. I read on gamespot that the multiplayer server will start running the day the games is released, November 24th http://www.gamespot.co.uk/news/2000/10/8353.html I have now played a direct internet multiplayer game, that was a great experience, this game should be fantastic when finished. It works with my T2. Try the simple things like only having 1 controller attached on the first joystick port and calibrate it in Windows first. The only glitch I've seen is getting the gas and brake pedals to be "seen" at the same time. Just set the gas pedal up and put the brake on a button. Jason. [email hidden] wrote:
