NH: Beat the Heat, Short Course, Trouble Ahead Race

I cannot for the life of me beat this! The cars appear to be on steroids with mine being the slowest. I've even tried cutting through the grass with no benefit. Has anyone beat all these BTH races/challenges? Anyone who has successfully made it through please share your secrets to success.

exactly, block, smash, and ram. don't let off the throttle, use the cars as a wall, that's the only way to do it because BTH runs in normal mode unfortunately. The secret to beating the Heat is: Block, ram and smash all the other cars off the road as if your life depended on it! Andre

If you feel like doing it the easy way, turn your effects level down so that there is no smoke. Without smoke you can see the clear path ahead. Oh yeah, and it takes the right set of circustances. After 5 or 6 tries you should see the clear path in front of you. Then I would suggest after you beat it with smoke off, turn it back on and give it a shot. Well, this is pretty depressing. I've tried everything you all have said but after getting up to about 9th position everytime the race ends. You'd think I could win after trying 2 hours straight, but nope. :( DElvr, smoke really doesn't seem to be a problem for me. I can see where I'm going it's just the other cars take off MUCH to fast after a corner. I'm always left in their dust. I wish there was a tweak for this to turn their speed down a little. Let me throw my 2 cents in here: go the track involved and make sure you have a setup in the car. I noticed a difference on the first few beat the heats if I went and did a single race on the track that the beat the heat is using and worked up a good setup to use. It seems to load the setup for that track on its own. Later. Mark Gums
