Well I purchased GP3 and have been having problems with the game freezing.
I run:
Gateway PII 450 w/ 128 megs ram.
STB Velocity 4400 video w/ 16 meg.
Creative Soundblaster Audio PCI 128D
Microsoft Force Feedback wheel.
Spoke to tech support and they said update drivers which I did - no luck.
Anyone have same type of problems and have a fix????
Thanks in advance,
Terry

Have you tried disabling things like power saving features? ie. have
you anything set to put the monitor etc. into a suspended state after
so many minutes?

Disabled power management - no luck. Uninstalled & reinstalled - no luck.
D/L latest drivers for vid and snd - no luck. I'll try tech help one more
time tomorrow but I'm about ready to scrap the game.
Thanks for your help.

The only time I have seen this is
when I overdid the overclocking on my video card.
However in your case the problem most likely either a driver problem
(which you seem to have eliminated) or another piece of software.
You don't say whether you are running Windows 98/ME or Windopws 2000.
Assuming you are running the former, I would check out what you have
running after bootup.
First (if you have not already done) so disable any screen savers. Next
check Programs/Startup and MSConfig (run it from Start/Run) to see what
gets run up at startup by Windows. Try to switch off or disable as many
of these as possible. Cross check this by doing a single
CTRL/ALT/Delete to see what tasks are running.
