Hahaha... that would be a riot. Unfortunately, I think they're only able to
tweak the appearance, i.e. the basic carshape always has to be an open
wheeled racer.
Maybe a Lotus 7 (just to sort of keep the spirit)?

is there a way to change a vehicle and also improve the grip level ?

Curiosity... You're asking if we can build (change the car to..) a Mini
Cooper and change the variables to reflect that we are driving this car? Or
are you asking if we can just give a Lotus extra grip all together?
If the GPLEA can change the shape of the Ferrari then I would assume
they could build a Mini Cooper, or any other car. As far as the "grip", I
don't know but I'd assume that's hard coded in GPL someplace and not able to
be changed(?)
But then again, I'm just assuming,
Mike
hmm.. Even if we can't change the "grip" or any other variable's.. Be
fun to drive something that resembles a Mini, VW Bug, ect.. ;-)

Not in the way you mean Owen, but you could always give the F2s a run if
you're not at home with the level of grip in the F1s.
I hope there'll never be a "grip patch".
Cheers

leagues were a complete waste because people would enter cars with
unrealistic values, or just flat out cheat to go faster. It was not that
fun.

Well, I took your advice and went to the ring armed with my shiny new Lotus.
I remember you sent me some setups, so I tweaked them a bit, and managed an
an 8:20.xx. Further tweaking and a desperate qualifying lap got me an
8:16.xx. That was quite pleasing, as I'd previously done an 8:17, but with a
railride coming up to Ex-Muhle, so it did'nt count. To go out again and then
go faster on a clean lap was very gratifying.
Most of the rest came from actually bothering to learn the lines at Monaco
and Mexico and get the car working well. I played another World
Championship, (which, in the end, I snatched by a point from Hill) and the
intense desire to win stimulated me to put in some good drives all round.
Out of 11 races, I set PB's at 7 or 8. Oh, and I've just recently shed
another few 100ths at Zandvoort

Gerry,
<<I hope there'll never be a "grip patch".>>
1.2.0.1 *was* a "grip patch" among other goodies).

Nice one - I'll have to work on Monaco a bit...

What do you mean? You mean because of the easier to handle default
setups in 1.2?

If I remember correctly it was stated that papy had increased the effect
that setup changes had on tire temps. Which seems like a way of avoiding
the words "grip" and "patch" in the same sentence while still having the
same effect.
