Only thing is that Avus wasnt in that form in 1967...this is how it was back in
the 1930's. In the 60's the straights were shortened I belive due to the split
of East-West Germany. The track resided in both...the banked end was retained
and the track was shortened considerably to stay in that half of the country (I
think West Germany but I could be mistaken). But none the less its a nice (if
a bit boring) addition to GPL.

Has anyone actually been able to download that thing? All I'm
getting out of the page at that piece of shit Fortunecity is
banners and Magical Vanishing Connections. The Geocities goes
even lower and gives me banners and 404.

Ah, I finally managed to get the zip down in one piece. Did
a quick 4:31.55 on a Spa-setup Eagle. I love that banked turn -
this was the first time I've driven one in a decently-modelled
game - but the main justification for the track's existence must
be historical value, not entertainment. It sure as hell is
different, though, and as such a nice expansion to the GPL track
diversity.

That's an interesting piece of trivia!! What are the chances of that
happening???
I am happy with the 30's layout, however, as that's the what the
speed-obsessed designers originally wanted.
Marc.
