"However, due to the idiosyncratic handling of the cars (an inevitability
given the age of the featured vehicles) initial impressions of the game are
not favourable. Those who have been raised on a diet of arcade-orientated,
power-sliding racers will find adjusting to the temperamental cars somewhat
tricky. For instance, the omission of a handbrake ensures that players will
need to give careful consideration to how they will approach the game's many
treacherous corners. Likewise, the steering of the cars will seem alien to
Ridge Racer veterans. The older automobiles in particular handle in a
somewhat erratic manner and practice will be necessary if success is to be
yours in the championship."
He goes on to say that the competition is fierce, and that you won't have a
chance without having some knowledge of the course and planning ahead for
corners. In other words, no "Need for Speed" floor it and go. The sound is
supposedly good and the main letdown is the (comparatively) poor graphics.
His final comment is "only bona fide gearheads should apply". Sounds not
too bad.

Bear in mind that this description could be a perfect fit for
that other pre-war racing game, Spirit of Speed '37. However, I'm
willing to keep an open mind towards any game that includes a
Mercedes-Benz 300SLR. I wonder if Stirling Moss endorses this
product?
