Has anyone been able to get the Logitech Wingman Profiler software working with GP3? None of the mappings I've created are having any effect... I've assigned keys to the controls I want and then used the profiler to map buttons on the stick to those keys and GP3 still uses the keys/buttons as it has been instructed, ignoring the Profiler settings. Darn it, -every- other driving game/sim I've ever owned has responded to the profiler software. Why not GP3? Advice appreciated... J. P. Hovercraft

there is a BUG in gp3 concerning controls. what version of the wingman software are you using? i think that the control driver in gp3 talks to the controller directly, rather than through the profiling software etc.. i could be wrong though... - brian

It's something like this: GP3.exe (v.small) runs the file GP3.icd (8M) and the LW profiler has to be told that GP3.icd is the program it is mapping. Of course then you can't run the game from the profiler... -- Tony Whitley GPLRank +12.8

A-ha! Thanks for the info. I guess GP3 is going back to EB tonight. I can't drive with throttle, brakes and shifting all on the stick. I got a controller with buttons on the base expressly so that I could brake and shift from the base, not the stick. Kinda sad... Guess I'll console myself w/F12k. It's running pretty darn well lately. J. P. Hovercraft ----------------------- Tony Whitley wrote:

My LWFF GP works ok with the profiler. I think you may have to decrypt teh gp3.exe/icd before the profiler will work correctly with GP3. -Nick Support <[email hidden]> wrote:

I'm surprised that Microprose didn't cover it, there again they don't seem very good on controllers... -- Tony Whitley GPLRank +12.8
