Off topic, but interesting for anyone that's into F1 and the web. The
Formula1.com site is filing an anti-trust lawsuit against Formula 1
management. Excerpt from their site:
'... Unfortunately, on two separate occasions this year, Formula One
Management, in conjunction with the FIA, has attempted to cut off the
supply of photography to our site. We wish to make it clear that we do
not hold anything against our photo suppliers, who have made a great
contribution to this site. But they were forced to stop supplying
Formula1.com or risk losing their livelihood by having their press
passes revoked by the FIA.'

Despite what everybody thinks it is very possible and likely to win a
lawsuit against these bastards (Mostly Bernie and Max).
In truck racing 3 years ago an independent video producer (AETV from
Germany) sued the FIA for about the same thing (They wanted to multiply by 3
or 5 the tv right for truck races), after many appeals and tricks from
Bernie himself (Including sending money to a bank account "in secret"
belonging to ATEV to tell in court "I bribed them") Bernie LOST, completely
LOST.
Besides that do you know that in the beggining of June, the FIA world
council sold the exclusivity of the F1 Championship tv rights to Bernie
(Well ISC the company run by his 25 year old wife).
The terms of this sale were :
100 Years (yes, one hundred)
price : (Please don't laugh) 368 Million USD
To compare this it is to be noted that for the 2000 Season alone the TV paid
ISC about 2.2 Billion USD....
So if you can buy something for about 3.68 Million a year, and sell it for
about 2.2 Billion a year how do you call that ?
Of coiurse there were no other companies included in the deal, Bernie was
the only one to whom this "deal" was offered.
Bottom line : Sue the bastard !
