I wonder if it's any better than the first release after that patch, because it comes really cheap now. scrcs

The unofficial 1.09 patch from the Blackhole Motorsports site (http://www.bhmotorsports.com/) really does make a difference. If you can find F1 2000 for $19 or so, I'd say it's DEFINITELY worth the money. -- JB In article <8spctp$50g$[email hidden]>, "scrcs" <[email hidden]> wrote: > I wonder if it's any better than the first release after that patch, because > it comes really cheap now. > > scrcs > > Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

The AI are faster with the 1.09 patch. I set the AI to 100% not 115% like with the original. You have fine controller options for each axis - deadzone, sensitivity and such. So overall the patch made it better, but it depends what your looking for. I understand a new version is coming out with weather called F1 Racing Championship (?). You could wait for that one or get the cheapie now. Better AI performance, more flexible display options, more system stability. For $20, you can't lose - although for another $25, you can get the newer version coming out in about 3 weeks (F1 Championship Season 2000, also by EA, natch!) -- o n e t h i r t y R

Yes it's improved, but if you don't have it....then you might want to hold off until the next F1 game comes out....I think it's scheduled to be released around Christmas.... The patch actually allowed me to run the game with out it crashing back to the desktop after two laps. The game and the patch are well worth getting.
