I asked Tim McArthur a few months back if he would be interested in taking
on a unique project...to produce one of the most interesting tracks that the
Grand National cars ever ran on. Trenton International was a track that the
Grand National drivers visited a few times in the late '60s and early '70s
that had an interesting configuration. Much like Darlington, when they
expanded the track someone did not want to sell their land...so they built
around it! That ended up where the track actually has a reverse corner 1/2
way down the backstretch! Unfortunately, this track no longer exists in real
life, but you can run it now in NASCAR Legends! You can get it on the
Stockcar>NASCAR Legends pages. Great job, Tim!
As well, our 5th birthday is coming up, and we've got 2 long-awaited patches
that should be available by that time...
TPTCC 2000 (for NASCAR 3) and The Pits Trans Am Project (for NASCAR
Legends). Work is continuing on
both at this time, and they're nearing completion. You can view the cars on
The Pits news page...
For the first time in The Pits Touring Car Championships' 3 year history,
our next season will be online racing.
More details as they become available, and don't forget that the 2000
Bullrun 1000 is coming up very shortly...
Cheers!

Jan, maybe I'm blind, but I looked all over for the Trenton track and didn't see
it.

Hi Jan,
Is there any hope of this track being released for GPL as well ??
Desert Winds was an excellent conversion over to GPL, and i think
Trenton would be likewise..
Cheers,
Ron

TIME TO REINSTALL NASCAR LEGENDS TO RACE AT MY "HOME" TRACK!!!!
Do the N3 tracks work in Nascar Legends and vice versa? I have NL, but not
N3.

Forget it, I now see the Palette Converter on your web site.

Hi Ron, all,
Hear hear! The Champ cars (which were astonishingly similiar to the F1s'
performance on the ovals) often ran Trenton, the last time in August '79
(after which the track closed). The crew chiefs hated the place because
nobody had a clue as to setups. I imagine the same will be true of the
virtual version.
There's an article on "The Jersey Mile" in the May/June '99 issue of Vintage
Motorsports, if you're interested.

Thanks for keeping our hopes alive anyway Jan..
This would be a great track in GPL as it would provide a totally
different challenge to all the other ovals that we have for GPL, not
only in setting up a car for it, but also in driving it, so here's
hoping...
Hi Steve, and thanks for that info on the Jersey Mile too, i'll grab
the magazine and have a look..
Cheers,
Ron
