Well after finally getting that huge file (SP3 update)...and installing, by

Yes I installed the frame rate "fix"...no luck ...ahhh well....back to a
fresh install.... sans patch!
Unless of course someone has a clue what the problem is...I WAS looking

I can't even get it to install! I unzipped the huge download file to
a separate directory, then run the executable file I find there and...
nothing. Except... when I try to run SCGT it hangs the whole system
and I have to hard boot and re-install the 1.55 patch.
Has anybody run this successfully???
BTW, I'm running Win95, PII 400, 128 Mb RAM and Voodoo 3 2000.
Gunslinger (James Wolhever) the creator of sp3.0 & 3.1 has his site

No it's not, really. What I get after unzipping the download .zip is
a bunch of what look like .rar files. Which are not exactly
something the program can use. My guess is that you're referring to
a zip file which will be created by running scgtsp30.exe, as
instructed by reading the install.txt file. Unfortunatlely, I don't
even get that far.
With the Banshee, you probably should be choosing the3dfx
option instead of d3d. Just a hunch.

You have to "unrar" the rar files to create the next zip file, which
you then unzip to make an exe, if I recall correctly.

When you start the game from the "start" menus it should come up
with a setup box that allows you to choose between D3d , software or 3dfx.
Is the 3dfx button greyed out?

vid card. I hate to ask cuz about a month ago I scramble these cards names
up badly...the Banshee is an all-in-one 2d/3d card based on the 3dfx Rush
chipset right? {if thats the right one} The rush cards are just not 100%
glide compatible.... You may be forced to stick with D3d. At least make
sure you
have the newest 3dfx drivers for your card,....check out
