Personally I didn't like the wheel that much. I found it very stiff yet the
wheel felt light. the faux leather was ok but not great. I really didn't
like the styling that much, the shifter paddles felt loose and throw is far.
The pedal feel stiff and as the go down are hard to use.
Also it is very expensive to ship it from actlabs. People might suggest
www.softwarefirst.co.uk
but I found this company very bad the customer service is bad the wheel took
ages to arrive, when it arrived it was scratched. As it look like the wheel
had been used and it had an American plug with a changing thing in the box I
decided to send it back for a refund. Now it has been lost in the post or at
their office!
oh well sh*t happens!
however the actlabs has 2 BIG advantages.
1)that very nice looking gated shifter, not so good for gp3 but I want one!
2)superb customer service!

I've heard good things about this wheel, but has anyone used it with GP3,
and if so, how well does it perform?
Also, what's ACT like with tech support, especially with regard to
internationally shipped products?
Best wheel
Best support
Average pedals (but you can tweak them EASILY)
go to rec.autos.simulators, the have some complete reviews.

Sounds like you got the wheel I returned to them :)
I bought a Force RS from Software First. It arrived late and came supplied
with a US plug. When I complained about this they sent me a travel adapter.
At this point I lost my rag with them and sent the wheel and shifter back
for a refund.
I then decided to go to the organ grinder and bought a replacement direct
from Act Labs. I received it in 4 days and have used it almost every day
for the last 5 months. All I can say is that the wheel is superb. It
particularly shines in GPL now that the shifter is supported with third
party utilities. I agree with you about the pedals. They aren't great. I
use a set of CH Pedals which I originally bought to use instead of my LWFF
pedals. This makes for an excellent setup.
Cheers
Phil
