Nascar heat seems to ensist putting stuff into the
c:\Program Files\Hasbro Interactive\NASCAR Heat directory...

anyway around this?

you can put the install anywhere, I have mine on the d:\ drive. BUT!
There are certain folders that still default back to the standard install.
Hasbro took some gripes for that, but no solution as far as I know.

etc., in your "install" directory instead of the default Program
Files/Hasbro interactive/NASCAR Heat, so you'll just have maybe 3 small
files in the default directory--I put instructions how to do so in the
"advanced.txt" or whatever it was that came with the patch. IIRC, it's
basically moving your "options.cfg" to your install directory, and
everything else will follow. Sorry we still depend on a few files on your C
drive, but it's a long story and has to do with the "play off the CD"
feature that only 2 goat herders in Tibet seemed to appreciate anyhow. Oh
well.
