Suzette,
I'm curious as to what your opinion was of the Michael Richard's show? (If
you saw it)

I think Michael is a crazy nut. He actually believes Nascar Racing 4 will be
the perfect racing sim. The man had the nerve to bash one of the greatest
"first" efforts in a Nascar sim of all time... Nascar Heat. Sure it has bugs
and it's missing some features that take away the realism of a real Nascar
event, but even with those flaws it's still the best driving Nascar sim on the
planet... until this "perfect" sim that he and so many other loons believes
will come to be early next year. The craziest part of all is that he thinks
that Papyrus is diligently making sure that N4 doesn't have the same problems
and missing features that Heat has. Boy won't he be suprised when N4 doesn't
have a save race feature, or when he tries to race with more than 15 other
people on the internet with a cable/dsl host and see all kinds of warping, or
when the damage model isn't like the real deal, or when he loses it out of turn
4 and goes sliding into the pits at 100+ mph and gets the black flag, or when
he finds out it doesn't include all the WC drivers and tracks in the game, or
when the AI does something stupid causing a major pileup (or god forbid the
user gets wrecked and damaged by the AI). I'm not saying N4 will or won't have
all these problems, but I can assure you with confidence, it won't be the
"perfect" sim. The "perfect" sim is a myth and if anyone really believes it
will be created, then maybe they should start anticipating Nascar Heat 2, or
maybe Nascar Racing 5, or maybe Nascar Heat 3... :-)
Maybe he should come to the realization that the Nascar Racing and Nascar Heat
series are making our Nascar experience on our PCs more enjoyable and allow us
to keep living out our dreams through cyberspace. Actually contributing some
useful feedback instead of bashing a sim out of loyalty to another, would be a
refreshing change indeed. Nothing better than a little competition (between
Papyrus and MGI) to make our racing experience more enjoyable into the future.
It's up to us to make sure they keep making the improvements we want.

P.S. Jim... sorry I had to use your little faux pas in this manner, but it just
seemed right at the time... :-)
