So we are stuck...time to list your system...perhaps something will stick out. vid card info, ammount of memory, sound card, cpu(it's not a Cyrix is it?) and what version of Direct X. Better include your controller info too... and anything else that might be important. dave henrie
You need to turn off "Use Direct Draw" (Options menu, Graphics, Advanced button, Use Direct Draw check box bottom right) and turn off "Direct Sound" (Options menu, Sound, Direct Sound check box). The readme.txt says to turn off the Direct Draw but it still kept crashing until i turned off Direct Sound too. Hope this helps. Bob. What sound cards are you guys using? I have an Aureal OEM and the Direct Sound box is checked, No problems. I'd like to know if a paticular card has problems with that ol sim. dave henrie "Incubus" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8wFK5.9867$[email hidden]... > I had to turn off direct sound , then it worked fine.
Mine was the vibra16 which was on the motherbaord. I have a Turtle Beach Quadzilla now, but haven't tried it yet. I found the "turn off direct sound" solution on some websites' forum where alot of other people had to do it as well, so it seemed to be a pretty common problem.
