Hi everyone, Version 3.02 contains only one fixed bug, but it is a nasty one. *Fixed this nasty bug: -If you saved a replay lap with the same filename as the source filename the produced file was corrupt. Now you cannot save to the same filename. Download and more info at: http://www.bigfoot.com/~GPL_Replay_Analyser/ /Martin and Jonas

Now, if you could work out a way of getting second practice to count in Grand Prix races... -- David. It isn't that hard, but would require a rewrite of many parts of the program=timeconsuming and boring work. We have a pretty large "to-do"-list with features which I think would be more useful. But it is irritating, I agree. But first we have to finish that track, and race too! Cheers, /Martin

Yes, this a feature we've got lots of requests for. But, there already exists such a program(not made by us), and it should be released sometime soon. On the other hand it's been due for release "soon" for a long time so don't hold your breath. Cheers, /Martin

Is it in the same zipfile as... GPal? Sorry, Andre. :)) Ruud van Gaal, GPL Rank +53.25 MarketGraph : http://www.marketgraph.nl Pencil art : http://www.marketgraph.nl/gallery/ Car simulation: http://www.marketgraph.nl/gallery/racer/
What finally happened to GPal? I've followed this NG for a long time and I remember the anticipation and the flurry of posts concerning the imminent release of GPal, but I must have been away when whatever happened to GPal was posted. Now I hear it being referred to from time to time as if it was vaporware... Was the whole program a hoax, or did it become the victim of a hard-drive crash, or something else? Just curious... -- Robert "Ruud van Gaal" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > On Fri, 27 Oct 2000 14:55:59 GMT, [email hidden] (Andre Warringa) > wrote: > > >On Fri, 27 Oct 2000 13:21:51 GMT, [email hidden] (Martin Granberg) wrote: > > > >>Yes, this a feature we've got lots of requests for. > >> > >>But, there already exists such a program(not made by us), > > > >What?? It was said to have only a little problem or so, with the installer IIRC or some little thing in the code, and then the programmer seemed to get a life, put more energy into his wife and relationship and actual work, and we never heard from it again. I think someone responded to the NG who actually knew him, defending him. Sorry he didn't just leave the source code up for downloads, certainly someone would have picked it up. And it seems some other utilities eventually have the same functionalities built in now. Thanks for the info... So the guy just "disappeared" huh? It does seem like if he was going to offer it as freeware (IIRC) then he'd post the source code so that someone else could finish it. Then all of the GPL community could benefit from the hard work he had done. If he was that close to finishing the program, it's a shame that he just abandoned it without making some sort of arrangements to see that it got completed and released. -- Robert "Ruud van Gaal" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > On Fri, 27 Oct 2000 14:08:05 -0400, "Robert Rathbone" > <rrathbon[nospam]@bellsouth.net> wrote: > > >What finally happened to GPal? Indeed. A waste. Perhaps there was a magical 'oh-my-god-this-can-actually-never-work!' aha-erlebnis (an expected big bug). :) I had one today, where a video/movie video output thread didn't seem like it could be doing anything in a remotely controlled way. But it does, somehow... Oh yeah, I fixed most of it today. :) Ruud van Gaal, GPL Rank +53.25 MarketGraph : http://www.marketgraph.nl Pencil art : http://www.marketgraph.nl/gallery/ Car simulation: http://www.marketgraph.nl/gallery/racer/

<snip> Yes, I understand. That's the main reason GPL Assistant v0.70 is taking so long - it's not hard, just bloody tedious. Still, it *might* be out soon - and at least v0.60 really exists, unlike GPaL... (sorry, couldn't resist) :) -- David.
