Hey gang,
I've read every post on the subject, tried all the work-arounds, and still
no joy.
My setup is a Thunderbird 1GHz, 256Mb ram, Win2K, Soundblaster Live! Value,
LWFF, CH Pedals, GP3 1.13.
The biggest problem is that the LWFF is on the USB port, the pedals (with a
Flightstick Pro) are plugged into the SB Live! gameport. While Win2K shows
the LWFF as Controller 1 and the Stick/Pedals as Controller 2, GP3 insists
on reversing them - as many have discovered, this works, but you get no
Force Feedback, since GP3 only allows FFB if Controller A is a FFB device.
So, I heard that JoyRegs from Stickworks might help, so I tried it, but even
when it appears to do something, it actually prompts Win2K to install the
"Standard Gameport" driver, which then fails when the system restarts. I'm
not sure how anybody is getting the controllers to switch positions in GP3,
which still seems to be the key to the whole thing.
I'm not so concerned with getting split-axis - I drive GPL when I want a
realistic car simulation. I'd really like to be able to use my CH Pedals
and get FFB as well, since the LWFF pedals give me cramps in no time flat.
TIA for any help.
Rick
