From SlashDot:
"For those of you that can't afford to spend $600 on a video card (like
everyone!) there's a really thorough comparison of different the best 10
value (meaning $150) 3D graphics cards, using chips from Matrox, NVIDIA,
3dfx and ATI. The authors show off benchmarks on an AMD Duron 700 for 3D
and then look at DVD as well as 2D."

Several F1 news sites are reporting that Jos Verstappen has received a
five-year suspended sentence for his involvement in an incident in which
a 45-year-old man received a fractured skull. From Atlas F1:
http://www.atlasf1.com
"Verstappen gets five year suspended sentence for cracking [a]
45-year-old man's skull at Kart track in Belgium. The charges went back
to an incident at a karting track in the Belgian town of Lanaken, near
Tongeren, in May 1998.
"The Verstappens and a group of friends became involved in a fracas with
another group of people who wanted to use the track.
"After a fight, a 45-year-old man was left with a fractured skull."
Atlas and other sites are also reporting that Paul Stewart resigned
yesterday as executive director of Jaguar Racing Formula One, because of
his ongoing extensive cancer treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester,
Minnesota. I was under the impression that Jackie Stewart was no longer
involved in the team, except in his long-time role as a Ford (Jaguar's
parent company) spokesman; if true, that would mean that no Stewarts are
involved in the team that was created by them in 1997:
"Paul Stewart, who is being treated for cancer, resigned as executive
director of the Jaguar Racing Formula One team on Monday.
"Stewart, the 35-year-old son of triple World Champion Jackie, was
diagnosed with treatable cancer of the colon in April and immediately
relinquished his post as chief operating officer of the Milton
Keynes-based team.
"Since April, Stewart has undergone chemotherapy at the Mayo Clinic in
Rochester, Minnesota, but he requires two further years of treatment and
has therefore decided to leave Jaguar Racing completely."
