Hi everyone...If one is considering a racing wheel that comes without software (for example a TSW). Your wheel has paddle shifters and four programmable buttons mounted on the wheel. When calibrating that wheel in windows under game controllers you would choose 2 axis, 4 button controller. However my question is (and I think I know the answer) if the paddle shifters counted for two buttons then you could then program two buttons that are on the wheel, would this then mean the two buttons remaining could only be programmed as a duplicate function. I hope your not confused by my wording... Dave C.
My TSW has paddle shifters, a stick shifter, and 2 thumb buttons. The paddle shifters and stick shifter are on the same circuit and they take up 2 buttons, and the 2 thumb buttons take up the other 2. I have not seen a controller that has shifter and 4 other buttons all on a separate circuit that did not come with a program. Windows seems to think that 4 buttons is all you need and I have not found a way to add more buttons. Someone else may have a program to help you out, though. It's an old DOS limitation. I remember the days when you could only use TWO buttons, but then the Gravis came up with a way to use four for their gamepad, which was very cool at the time. If I remember right, you needed an extra game port (which you got if you bought a Sound Blaster).
Hello, That is why it is a better way to go with drivers. Our device supports 10 buttons. :) Raymond ACT LABS On 1 Nov 2000 00:47:20 -0600, [email hidden] wrote:
