Recent chat capture from VROC: P_Tysowski: Ya know what would be really cool? J.Simmons: A big-titted blonde wearing black latex... P_Tysowski: That too, but I was thinking IGPS/3. J.Simmons: I've already started the web page. Stock up on your cornflakes. Go here: http://paddedwall.org/igps3 Don't forget to visit the Rules page and the Home page to check out the sign-up requirements. Ex-IGPS drivers get exclusive first dibs on chassis assignments until 6am Monday (11/06/00) morning. At that point, signups will be opened to newbies. Piotr (our stats keeper) and I already have selected our chassis (we're admins - admins always get first shot at chassis selection). Special Note: The email addresses I have for the following individuals are no longer valid. If anyone knows their current email address please let them know that IGPS/3 is starting up and to let me know (my email address is on the IGPS Home page. John, Don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting Internal Server Error when I try the link. Bob Geddes John Simmons wrote:

I just kicked GP3 out of the window, I'm going to buy a new pedal set, start practising GPL again (after about 4 months) and I'm going to make Johns, Tony's and Tims life miserable. And I'm not going to get into a fight with that slow BRM driver (although he was blocking me at Kyalami). "John Simmons" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

To each his own, but I think you're wrong. You're missing a shitload of valuable feedback, namely peripheral vision and chassis/tire feel. I stand by my claim - online racing is NOTHING like racing in real life. >I drive for many years in Kart, Formula 3 and Barber Dodge and i assure >to you for many things is the same. But we're all just a bunch of people sitting in air-conditioned comfort in front of an over-priced toaster-oven capable of really bitch graphics. We're here to have fun, and I think everybody in the league rightfully expects to finish the race, unmolested by idiots who think they're the next Jeff Gordon. >I drive in many leagues and I assure to you without penalites the >drivers are always clean and happy when the race is finish. >Who six you to decide if my surpass is good or not ?? You got a problem with the rules applying to you the same as they do everyone else? >Why i must retire from the league ?? becouse i'm fast ?? becouse i'm >think im' outclass ??.......even if it was true tell me why i must >retire ?? You didn't have to retire, but you did. I said that if you think you outclass the competition in IGPS (and you do as far as speed goes), then retire.

Oh yeah, I'm jealous of everyone faster than me. As far as mentioning your qual time, did it ever occur to you that I had more important shit to think about at the moment. Besides, qual speeds don't mean jack if you're not the first one accross the finish line at the end of the race.

Yeah - zieg heil motherfucker, and don't let the door hit you in the ass... For anyone that doesn't get it yet, Matteo has retired (or BEEN retired - however you'd like to view it) from IGPS. ====================================================================== Message ends ====================================================================== For clarification on a few points, IGPS is a chassis restricted league, meaning that only FOUR of any chassis can be allocated to drivers. Further, once a driver has applied for a spot in the league, the chassis he selected is the one he's stuck with for the entire season. Matteo joined the league WELL AFTER the rules page was posted. As you can see from the email, he doesn't think the rules should apply to him. As far as pre-race briefings, I was merely pointing out what I considered to be the trickiest sections of the track, as well as reiterating the rules concerning shiuft-r, boneheaded driving, and the like. If anyone is really deeply interested, I have every replay of every IGPS race, along with ALL of the email traffic and old web pages. If you want to see the pass thast Matteo thinks was a decent one, let me know and I'll cut that section out and post it. As for Matteo, he's not welcome in any league in which I am league admin. I rule with an iron fist and I'd venture to say that everybody (in the league) but Matteo appreciates that. He's damn fast, no argument there, but he's inconsiderate on the track and a damn poor sportsman. Ask ANYBODY on the roster for their views. Many of you might consider me to be an asshole (or worse), but you can count on me being completely honest and forthright, and I think that counts for a lot more. In closing, I'd like to say a big hearty "Hi-yo! Bite my redneck ass!" to Matteo, and to everyone else, remember, IGPS/3 will be open to new drivers starting Monday morning (or probably sooner). -- ========================================================= Redneck Techno-Biker (Zerex12) http://www.paddedwall.org/john Barbarian Diecast Collector (420+ cars and counting) http://www.paddedwall.org/diecast DeMONS Scheduler for N3 and NL http://www.paddedwall.org/demons IGPS/3 Home Page http://www.paddedwall.org/igps If you want to send me email, go to the first URL shown above & click "Send Me Mail" in the contents frame. =========================================================
