Developer Chris West sent us an update on the development of World Sports Cars today: "After what seems ages the new tire/tyre model is fundamentally done, and its turned out very nicely. The next subjects to work on are the far more undefined ones of tribolgy and hysteresis (fricition and bendy strecthy stuff). The tire/brake model I have at the moment is not too bad but it is very emperhical, which is fine, but I have no data to work with for wear rates of tires, and how much the various factors od load, temperature, pressure, relative velocity etc effect the overall wear rate." This and a lot more info can be found on the main page of High Gear or at the following direct link: http://www.simracingnews.com/article.cfm?news_id=2039 Enjoy! -- Kenneth Verburg Editor-in-chief High Gear http://www.simracingnews.com
