Hi GPL'ers I've tried to make AI Bristol to work. The SabreTeam gives some advice it their Readme.txt. (Many thanks to SabreTeam for making the also the ovals racable! Thanks, thanks and thaks!!) I am driving F3's at Bristol (I guess F1's are too powerful there... ;-) The best AI drivers seem to drive a quite constant 22.?? laps, while I am driving also quite constantly 19.?? laps. Not too fun after a while... And changing the the dlong_speed_adj_coeff in the track.ini of Bristol doesn't seem to have any effect to the speed of the AI! The Readme.txt advices "to make small changes to the value". Their original value was 1.0790. I gradually made it bigger, and ended to a crazy big value of 4.9990. No effect! They seem to keep in the 22.?? range...! What is the problem? Is it so that F3's do not care that 'coeff'? Or what? Any ideas? Arto PS Has anybody been planning of making an AI to Avus?

Arto, Changing the dlong speed adjust. (the alledged equivalent of ICR/CR's old "RELS" value) doesn't seem to make much difference at most converted--and many scratch-built--tracks. The AIs are beating me to death at Goodwood, but no amount of lowering the dlong (which seems mainly to affect the Vmax--top speed--in the original GPL tracks, not their cornering speed) seems to slow them down. I assume there is something the track makers don't know (or don't always add or change) in the added tracks. Anybody have any other ideas? --Steve Smith Arto Wikla <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:wikla.973280947@kanasaari...
