Just curious if anyone has managed to run following under NT 4.0:
GPL
GP3
SCGT
NFS:PU
Stephen
If it requires anything beyond DirectX 3, it won't run with NT -- which
rules out GP3, SCGT, and NFSPU.
NFS2 runs well, though. Never tried GPL.

drivers, period, for my LWFF), but I have tried GPL and GP3 under Win2K, and
while they SEEM to work, I could never get rid of massive "Spikes" from the
LWFF, and getting my wheel and CH Pedals to play nice in GP3 was impossible
(GP3 insisted on using the pedals as Controller A, which turns off FF).
I finally broke down and installed Win98se just for those two games, and
they both run pretty flawlessly. I even got GP3 to run with FF and split
axis pedals (using JoyRegs). While I don't think there's anything
inherently wrong with Win2K for these games, it did present irritating
issues in the end.

many games run fine under Win2000. If so, too bad that never trickled back
down to the NT owners as a Service Pack.

Many games will run just fine under Win2k, although I doubt old DOS
based games will, providing you have a fairly powerful PC with at least
128 MB of RAM, although there's no way of telling up front which games
will run on your specific hardware, some Win2k drivers for certain vid
cards are better than others
We could never get Rainbow 6/ Rogue Spear to run properly on a couple of
PC's here in the shop, nVIDIA based vid cards, and Panzer General III
runs like a dog as well, but plenty of other games runs just fine.....
Beers and cheers

As I understand it the whole point of Windows 2000 is that they're aiming to
unify the NT and 95/98 platforms. Effectively Windows 2000 is the next
version of Windows NT, but with the consumer stuff (eg. games) put in as
well.
In that respect it's a big advance, although pricing puts it out of reach of
most home users at the moment.
