Has anybody else tried the "arcade" mode in the Warm Up! demo? In F1WGP, the "arcade" mode was basically a more relaxed sim mode -- kind of like the "sim" mode in Warm Up!, come to think of it. Anyway, the "arcade" mode in Warm Up! is a REAL arcade mode -- it kind of reminds me of the kind of driving action you find in something like the "Daytona USA" in the arcades, but MUCH better. It's hard to explain, but it's psychotically fast, and yet the driving model "feels" pretty nailed-down and accurate (aside from the insanely forgiving grip levels, of course). It's like your favorite title in the "Need For Speed" series on adrenaline AND amphetamines (any NFS title besides NFSPU, that is, which is really a "lite" sim and not an arcade racer per se). If it doesn't make you hang on like an unwilling passenger in an impromptu James Bond chase scene, yet leave you grinning like a racing fool who's just discovered the joys of powersliding in GPL, then you'd better have someone check your pulse, because you might be dead. <G> -- JB "You're the most dangerous man I know -- and you're wacky!" - Speed Racer Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

JB, Not sure if you've "discovered" the really great feature of arcade mode. Press the Key/Button that you assigned to Brake-Bias and see what happens ... Well, OK, I'll tell you, it's a Turbo Feature, gives the already somewhat swift car even more oomph! Also, if you are behind a car that switches Turbo on, you get 2 jets of flames coming from the back. Looks neat. Well, ya gotta have a break from GPL sometime :-) Maxx On Thu, 09 Nov 2000 01:51:36 GMT, [email hidden] wrote:
