I've not been able to get connected all day. It's not a DNS
thing I'm certain.
Some of the time I got HTTP Port 80 being rejected on
VisualRoute, somtimes it says the server is there, no errors
but efforts to connect get an Error 500 Internal Server Error.
Currently, it is saying Port 80 being rejected.
Is this the deal for everyone?
Maxx
Maxx,
I got on there around about 6.30 pm no problems.

I just logged on again at http://newgplrank.schuerkamp.de/index.html and
this worked first time. Now down to 124.66 thanks to your GPLegs.

Glenn,
Yes, it's OK now, first time I've tried myself since 6:30 so
maybe there was a problem and is now fixed.
Good News with the ever improving handicap, it's mainly
why I wanted to get onto GPLRank, too see how you all
were doing :)

I am going back to the F2 cars and learning how to drive the car
correctly now. In the f1 cars I could get no better than 1.34 at monza.
I think the problem is with my breaking. Come to a corner and
jump on breaks. Trying to ease on the breaks and off the
accelerator now, and I believe I am in more control.
Definatly a worthwhile read.
cheers.

Dermot,
Glad your finding GPLEGS useful, although you may have
replied to the wrong thread here .. no GPLRank account
yet I see (unless you are in disguise!)
F2s are a good idea, I run them probably more than F1s
as I race F2s in a couple of clubs. The good thing is
the braking points don't differ greatly between F1 and F2,
just that you get a little more time to do things and to pick
out the optimum line.
Once you get consistent why not joing the VROC-F2 club,
we race 4 times a week, very well organised, great bunch
of guys and close but considerate racing.
The emphasis is giving everyone a good experience and
a race, and all levels are catered for as we often have 3
races, Gold, Silver, Bronze.
find out more here : http://vroc.net/html/common/club.htm
It's not a league, you just turn up if you feel like racing.
May see you there sometime.

Hey Maxx,
sorry to hear of your problems. Musta been some kind of
network glitch as the server has an uptime of nearly
60 days now.
Cheers,

Uwe,
Very strange. Often if I can't connect I will run Visualroute
which often say that "HTTP requests on Port 80 are being
rejected". I assume it is some internal maintenance so just
try later and usually all is OK.
Does this sound right, or, as far as you know, has it
been available 100% of the time, in those 60 days.
Cheers & Thanks for the great site.

I am interested in the F2 league but needs some practicing. However, could
you send me the GPLEGS? My email is [email hidden]
By the way, does anyone get sound problems with F2's. The engine sound is
much higher pitched and unbearable. I still don't know why.
All I have changed is driver detail from 3 to 2.
My setup is 1.2 US patch. Celeron 566, 64 MB RAM, Intel 810 onboard
GPU/Sound, running 98SE and OpenGL mode.

Well, it shows the appreciation of the community and how much we use it
doesn't it, as soon as there's a connection problem, it's instantly
recognized, and although it may sound a little like whining sometimes
:-), it's just that people want access to the "good stuff" :-)
Beers and cheers
