I'd say that GPL is probably the single most discussed game here, though, so you won't be short of things to talk (argue!) about. > 2)im looking to download the track "BULLRUN" for gpl If that's the track I think it is, I'm afraid it was an illegal pirated track. It was posted on a French website, which was then closed down, the person set up another site, that was closed down etc etc. I can't remember the name of the website, and don't really want to - it's the main reason we may never see Suzuka for GPL, which could have been fantastic, as that track was also illegally posted. -- David. I'm pretty sure that was a pirated track (apologies if I'm wrong). It was available at a French GPL site but then they were pulled down.

In what way are they pirated? are they from a non papyrus sim?

I can't remember what Bull Run's status is, but the Suzuka track was a leaked private beta (may even have been an alpha). The author got so annoyed by this that (AFAIK) he has stopped all work on the track. So this French prat has cost us what might have been a very worthy addon. -- David. 1) This IS the GPL newsgroup (or it might as well be). 2) I don't have Bull Run, but try the US Pits site for starters (http://www.theuspits.com/). -- JB In article <0JaQ5.101167$[email hidden]>, "Roman Mazurek" <[email hidden]> wrote: > hi 2 Qs 1)is there a gpl news group or is this as close as im gointo get? > > 2)im looking to download the track "BULLRUN" for gpl anyideas

I'm not really qualified to answer this - I suggest you start a new thread if you want an answer from someone who knows - but basically: a hell of a lot of work, with mostly handbuilt homebrew tools. To answer the most common question: no, there isn't a publicly available "track designer" like for GP2. In fact, I doubt any of the tools the experts use to design new tracks will evr be publicly released - the volume of email requests for support someone who did that would get would be overwhelming. In any case, even with the tools I understand it's seriously hard - bluntly, if you don't already have a pretty good idea of the programming involved, you're not up to it. I know I'm not. -- David.
