Maybe one of you can help me. I have a fairly new HP Laptop
on which I used to play Race Driver (1 & 2). All of a sudden
both have stopped working in the same way:
when starting up I get an error message (something like "An
error has occurred with racedriver.exe and it needs to be
closed. We're sorry for the inconvenience") and then it quits
even before showing the introscreen.
Reinstalling doesn't help. I can't remember installing anything
that could possibly cause conflicts and I have tried killing all
suspect system threads when running RD.. To no avail.. Still..
there's something on my (truly clean!) system that the
Codemasters don't like...
Any insights?

If you've exhuasted all other efforts.....
try changing the date back to when you knew it worked.
were you using a crack? or beta?
there can be 'time-bombs' in them set to a date.
