I think that Ultimate Paint will convert these files. There is a freeware
version available at www.ultimatepaint.com/index.html.
Anyone have a program to convert bmp files to giff files? I only have
the demo of ACDC and it won't do that paticular format. I have a pretty
hefy
bmp from SCGT to convert.

Photoshop and PSP will do it but you'd have to buy them or get a demo, Paint
which comes with Windows will convert to Gif, Jpeg or a lower quality
bitmap.

I use LviewProD. It is shareware and about 300K, if you want I can email
the zipfile to you.
I used it so much that I eventually registered (even though it works if
you don't). However they redesigned the app to version 2, and that
version totally sucks IMHO. It is ironic how they over designed the
newer version into a pile of junk.

PSP will do that...so will Photoshop.
