Hi all
I'm talking about Jan Kohl of course, head honcho at "The Pits", one of
the biggest contributors to our community in my opinion, and quite a few
others too I gather, and a genuinely nice guy, who over the years has
contributed a lot to our community, not only by his own work, but by the
way he seems to get the most out of other people as well, both from us
in "The Crew" and from various contributors over the years
We had this big surprise e-mail party planned for him, was going to post
a big message all over the front page and a link to send him a
congratulatory e-mail today (Sun 19th)....but the best plans laid down
by mice and men.....
Unfortunately, our main site is down, but I'm still posting this message
and the e-mail addy in the hope that we can at least round up enough
messages to make him feel all warm and fuzzy
So, if you have a spare moment, drop him a note at
[email hidden], I'm sure he'll appreciate it :-), well,
he has cable, how long will it take him to DL a "few" messages
anyway.....:-)))
I've been a part of "The Crew" for almost 4 years to the day now, it's
an experience I wouldn't have been without and it would have been what
it is today if hadn't been for Jan Kohl, today is *your* day Jan, enjoy
it, you've earned it

The special edition front page is up and running now as well. Head on
over and send Jan a FRIENDLY hello! The Mark Marting picture is a
NASCAR cake by racecakes.com, BTW. ::)
I second everything Goy said and then some. Working with Jan and the
guys over at The Pits has been an absolute blast and things are only
going to get better.
