Hi All,
Just heard about a new track for GPL here :
http://www.simcyberworld.com/html/bugs/Coast2Coast/gpltracks.htm
I don't think it's like there other one (Seaside) which as based on an
existing track. It's still downloading so can't comment further yet.

I wish they'd say before you download what you need.
This, to save anyone else downloading if they don't have the
"requirements" is the readme.txt file :
GPL Sicily
This patch will create a fantasy track named Sicily.
READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY!!!!
To install this track, you will first need to convert the ICR2 Toronto
track to GPL. Then you will need to use the "reverse utility" to
reverse the converted Toronto track. You will end up with a folder
named "otnorot". Change the name of this folder to "sicily" and
extract all contents of the Sicily.zip to this and run the Sicily.bat.
You will have to change the files in the seasons folder too. It should
read -
[Eventxx]
name=Sicily Grand Prix
shortname=Sicily GP
trackDirectory=sicily
month=4
day=10
numberOfLaps=56
startingGrid=4
You may want to delete the Toronto track and season files from your
GPL game if you'd like after installing this patch unless you want to
keep them.
Thanks to the people responsible for making these converters. They
have contributed greatly to my enjoyment of the game!

to do this sort of thing to the reversed circuits, just makes it a bit
different than just having it in reverse.
Many thanks to those responsible for Sicily and Seaside and may we see many
more!

Anybody considered doing Syracuse (Sicily, not Upstate New York!)?

Seaside and Sicily are reverse Portland and Toronto. They are quite
beautifully done, but to me they do not really bring anything new
to the GPL. For example the "old" walls around the streets of
"a Sicilian village" feel a little unnatural. Well, perhaps reversed
Monaco would have been more natural basis for a Mediterrenian
village track. :-) By the way, did I see it right: are there some
mountain textures in Sicily taken from Monaco mountains? ;)

We've gone through this "fake" track thing with alllll the old ICR2
tracks.
almost everyone has at least one or more conversions...but still, under the
flashy new graphics, they are still just the same ol track or at most
backwards.
I'm MUCH more impressed by the GPLEA and Noonan tracks...I don't know if
they use the orginal GPL tracks as a base or if they are completely
done new..but those tracks hold much more of my interest.

To the best of my knowledge, both Noonan and GPLEA create their tracks
