Hi,
Grand Prix 3 is reported to run without a problem on Win2K.
On my machine it starts with a black screen while loading,
loads, tries to switch to a lower resolution and than
returns to desktop without an error message or so.
Configuration
Software :
Windows 2000 - 5002195 Service Pack 1
DirectX 4.07.00.0700
Grand Prix 3 with and without Patch 1.13 ( both is not working...)
Hardware :
Notebook Compaq Armada 7400
S3 Virge/MX
128 MB
ESS Maestro Sound
Before I had to upgrade to Win2k for other reasons, GP3 was running on this
machine
under Win95C without any problems. Win2k is has been installed on a
formatted
harddisk, so there arent any pieces of the old system left.
Does anyone have an idea what might the reason ??
Thanks
Christian

No idea. But have you considered dual-booting W2K with Win95? It's a
way out if you can't get it fixed.

A lot of games are very funny at
running on laptops because of the screens and videon cards they use. Try
getting the latest drivers for Win2K.
