I use a V5500 and I have a frame rate hit when other cars come into view but only at certain points of a course also the screen has frozen a few times and the sound carried on plus when the picture comes back live I have usually hit the fence. I can't be certain its the V5 but I didn't have theses problems with the old V2 I'm sure that eventually I'll get it sorted the picture quality is worth the hassle. Bob- Do you use the D3D patch with your V5 ? Cause I had simular problems with my Geforce. Mostly a frozen screen. -- Karsten Borchers -------------------------- www.simracing.dk "R A Wright" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8vefvl$bm3$[email hidden]... > I use a V5500 and I have a frame rate hit when other cars come into view but > only at certain points of a course also the screen has frozen a few times > and the sound carried on plus when the picture comes back live I have > usually hit the fence. I know this guy, so i'm gonna answer him in danish: Hej Thomas... Hvis du skifter til D3D Patchen, s kan du godt kre online uden problemer. Du taber et par FPS, og lidt billedkvalitet, men til gengld krer det stabilt. I can see in the release notes to WinVROC 2.1.0.0. that the root to my online lock-up problems is that I use a 3dfx Voodoo 3 3000 card. My question is: Are users of 3dfx Voodoo5 5000 experiencing the same lock-up problems when joining an online race? I have joined a league and need to have the ability to race online. Thanks for your info in advance Thomas

I Have a PCI V3-3000 and have never had any problems with VROC, all versions. Lower the gamma settings in the 3Dfx control panel to fix the washed out look. Jason. Oops, I thought you hated using 3Dfx due to the washed out graphics. Ignore the previous post. Jason. Jason Monds wrote:

Thomas. I had the same problem with my V3 3000, so, I was using the Java version to join races. Now, with my V5 5500, I haven't that problem. (I'm using 3dfx, no D3D) Good luck. AleMira.
