There are so many racing simulator games available, which to choose? Which one is the best? When I say 'the best', I am referring to the most realistic physics and *hopefully* the best graphics. A great physics engine does good if you can't see the road, lol I have some GP, Nascar and CART games, this is what I'm interested in and ALM (if they even make such an animal). I have the rest, I want the best. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you, Michael

If you like F1, GP3 is the best choice. Heh, just looking at the majority of posts the answer should be easy. GPL has long been touted as having the most realistic physics and with the 3rd party add-ons it probably rates up there with the best graphics. Unfortunately it can be extremely hard to find in stores now. Grand Prix Legends has the most realistic physics. It's the closest thing you can get to real motor-sport on your PC. I think it's fair to say it's as challenging as racing a real car. The graphics and sound are also very good. If you like bikes, have a look at GP 500 and Superbike 2000 (or 2001). Titles to look for in the future would be World Sports Cars and Nascar 4, both due Q1 next year. So pick up GP3 by microprose, its got great graphics(rain too), and with the new patch the physics are excellent. Awesome 3rd party support as well, plenty of tracks, cars, carsets, setups, extra graphics, utilities, etc. You'll need at least a PII 400 and a good graphics card to be able to enjoy this one. If your into neckcar, wait a few months for nascar4 from papyrus

In my books, a Lotus 49 is a tin can with no downforce. Or maybe an aluminum beer can. However, I still love driving it. Stephen

Tough call between GP3 and GPL. Depends on if you're looking for historic F1 or modern F1. I'd give the edge to GP3 slightly. Easy. Modern F1 - GP3 (some may say F1 2000, but I'd disagree) Historical F1 - GPL -- Ian P <email invalid due to spam> Andre Warringa <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > On Wed, 22 Nov 2000 17:28:23 +0100, "Greatdane" > <[email hidden]> wrote: > > >If you like F1, GP3 is the best choice. > > If you like F1, GPL is the best choice :) > > Andre

"When I say 'the best', I am referring to the most realistic physics" His only choice is GPL. -- -- Franois Mnard <ymenard> -- May the Downforce be with you... -- http://www.WeRace.net -- People think it must be fun to be a super genius, but they don't realise how hard it is to put up with all the idiots in the world.
Yo The only answer is GPL, GP3 sucks soooo badly and to think I actually bought that sh*te. Realistic physics and the best graphics, GPL. (GP3 slow framerates even with P800 and Voodoo 5!!) Best multiplayer action, GPL (Cos GP3 cant hack it on line) That's what was asked and there's the answer, GP3 is sh*te. GP2 on the other hand was great at the time it came out and I played that right up to the launch of GP3. Now I play neither, you want realism, GPL, GP3 is not a simulation it's GP2 with prettier pictures and still runs like a three legged dog! Phew Bye bye BBSandra
