Hi all...I have two Logi Wingman FF wheels (old style). One I use to race
and the other is in the closet with a broken button on the wheel itself. I
would like to know if there is a place that can recondition that wheel for
me. Replace the button and kind of "rebuild" the wheel to make it like new.
Since the new Logitech's are basically useless I would like to make use of
this other wheel.
Sincerely,
Dave Ciemny (MookyTC)
Mooky,
One reason to avoid the otherwise most-excellent Logitech WMFF is there is
absolutely no customer support whatsoever. Not only will they not repair
what's broken (they will replace it if under warranty), they won't even tell
you what you need (the pot resistance, fer instance) if you attempt to do it
yerself. We should probably form a co-operative and stockpile used WMFFs
with one fatal flaw to canibalize for parts.

Steering pot is 100k and pedals are 10k.
I have recently started to supply replacement steering pots in kit form
with wiring and connectors attached and have now also got the paddle
switch conversion from the nasty (split after a few months) one to a
surface mount one which does the job very well.
I've not yet got round to updating the web site but more info can be
obtained by emailing me.
Cheers.

Yeh i would think there would be alot of interest in LWFF replacement parts
for
the racing crowd. If it would tighten up the wheel and make it respond a
little better, I would definitely be interested in obtained an update in
the near future.

to Achim Trensz, it feels nice but doesn't seem to result in better car
control, much less faster lap times. :o(

The bearing kit is for both shafts (4 pieces BBs).
The approach to achieve better laptimes is still the same: Improve your driving
skills. The BB-kit makes the FF-signals clearer, but it depends on yourself to
utilize that input.
