I know its been discussed before, but as I wasn't paying attention then, how do I move the man with the pit board to the end of the lap instead of the start (on many Noonan tracks)? I am getting extremely pissed off trying to negotiate Paddock Hill bend while attempting to absorb the information on the board!! It's a hard enough bend even when your eyes are on the road!! Thanks Chris -- www.geocities.com/simbokza Remove _your_clothes before replying

In the track.ini, edit the line pit_board = 21.0 275.0 -100.0 100.0 The first number is the distance from the centre line of the track, a - number will put him on the right of the track. The second number is the distance from the start line, anything under about 250 I think and you still get out of date info. The above numbers are what I use for Monza. > how do I move the man with the pit board Go to the track.ini file in the track folder. Go to the [ pit_lane_0 ] section and edit the second value in the "pitboard =" line. The greater the second of the four values, the further from the s/f line the pit board will be. -Chris- **Jesus saves sinners and redeems them for valuable cash prizes** Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
Thanks for that, my pit board man is now where he should be:) Chris -- www.geocities.com/simbokza Remove _your_clothes before replying "Mark Aisthorpe" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:cj_S5.4366$[email hidden]... > In the track.ini, edit the line > pit_board = 21.0 275.0 -100.0 100.0 > The first number is the distance from the centre > line of the track, a - number will put him on the > right of the track. Chris,Tony, and others..... Here are the values you should use in your track.ini file for the listed tracks to move the pit board to the end of lap, so you will get current information about the lap that you have just completed..... Kyalami 6.4 400.0 Mexico 7.0 300.0 Monza 14.4 520.0 Monaco 6.7 260.0 Mosport 6.0 600.0 Silverstone 7.0 255.0 Rouen 5.5 600.0 Silverstone 7.0 255.0 Spa 7.6 1200.6 Watkins Glen 6.4 1100.2 Zandvoort 7.0 590.0 Imola 7.0 260.0 sterreichring 6.4 360.0 Goodwood 6.1 700.0 Road Atlanta 14.0 280.0 Snetterton 6.0 252.0 Solitude 8.0 280.0 The first # is how far to the right or left of the center of the track, the pitbaord man stands. A negative # will display the board on the right side of the track. The second # is how far from the start/finish line that the pitboard will be displayed. This # may have to be large for some tracks...... due to the fact that there may be a curve right after the start finish line, and you wouldn't want to be trying to look at the pitboard in the middle of a curve.... The larger # will move the pitboard further down the track, so you can view it along a straight section. If you want more info about them.... drop me a line.... Ron R. The original question I asked was actually how to move the pit board man backwards at some of the "new" and "converted" tracks so he would give me the time of my previous lap as per the original circuits. I thought it was a bit unrealistic having someone show a pit board within a second of me completing the lap. Anyway thanks to your help I have managed to correct that now:) Cheers Chris -- Simbok Racing www.geocities.com/simbokza Ron Ronchetto <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:SvaU5.2125$[email hidden]... > Chris,Tony, and others..... > > Here are the values you should use in your track.ini file for the listed > tracks to move the pit board to the end of lap, so you will get current > information about the lap that you have just completed..... >
