I would like to publicly thank Thomas Enterprises for their outstanding customer service. After years of faithful service, I recently sent my trusted TSW in for a minor warranty repair. Thomas not only kept me aprised of the status of the repair and turned around the repair very quickly, they basically refurbished my wheel even though it really did not need it - replacing wiring, cover, all three pots, steering shaft, shift knob and pedal feet. A lot of factors go into the decision when purchasing a steering wheel. Customer service is always important. In this case, Thomas exceeded my expectations. Again, thank you. Now, please excuse me while I run a few laps at Zandvoort with my "new" wheel. ;-) Regards, Jim Moore Zionsville, Indiana
I didn't have any problem since I bought my TSW year ago, but every question I had was promptly answered by Dave Thomas. Also knowing that even if I need any repair I will receive good service give me extra satisfaction. So nice to hear something like that these days. Big thanks to Dave and Thomas Enterprise. I would love to have a TSW but the IMO the price is just outa my reach. If they could find a way to make a full featured wheel for 149.95, like i imagine a hundred more would, buy one in a second..Maybe one day I will have one sitting here. PassedYa . Darko Juvan wrote:

It's probably the last wheel you'll ever buy... pot replacement is very easy and the wheel itself is very sturdy. No damn drivers to install, just plug it and calibrate it in your favorite. It has a nice feel, is very precise and you have a good year of good handling before making changes, which is more than I can say of all the crap plastic wheels out there. They are expensive, but worth the craftsmanship and every penny. And no, I don't work for TSW ;) nascarob wrote:

Agreed, been running my TSW2 for almost 2.5 years now, replaced pots one time, nothing else done to it. Rock solid, and feels as smooth as the day I got it. -- Don Burnette Dburn in N3 and Legends ICQ# 74084566 "Philster" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > It's probably the last wheel you'll ever buy... pot replacement is very > easy and the wheel itself is very sturdy. I have a TSW as well, and am equally happy with it in terms of construction and feel. Just one slight problem though - I do get some jitter from the gameport, which I managed to solve on my last computer by getting a PDPI L4 card, but the problem with that is that it's an ISA card with fairly dodgy drivers (I had to re-calibrate each time I rebooted the machine, at precisely the same point in the sequence!). If only the Soundblaster Live card had a digital gameport...
Well, my MSFF wheel is now over 18 months old and still going strong, no attention required at all. (I hope that wasn't asking for trouble from it <G>) As for replacing steering pots, it doesn't have one so that's one less thing to worry about. The advantages over a TSW for me include price, ease of actually getting one, being able to map commands and macros to buttons and the real TSW beater (for me at least), FF in GPL. If TSW ever decide to go the FF route and cater for programmable buttons while retaining their incredible build quality, they may have a new customer, providing they make them a bit easier to obtain for people outside the USA. -- Ian P <email invalid due to spam> Philster <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > It's probably the last wheel you'll ever buy... pot replacement is very > easy and the wheel itself is very sturdy. If only they had a force feedback version :) "Philster" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Jim, let me know, when they introduce FF on their wheels. I could imagine to own one of those.
