Has anyone downloaded DirectX 8 and is it compatible with GPL?

no problems here. I have to say DX8 has been the LEAST troublesome upgrade of the dx series. Usually by now we would be FLOODED with folks crying about how DX8 broke thier system. I have heard that users with older T2 Thrustmaster wheels are having problems. But I just jumped in my gpl this morning to test the Goodwood circut. seemed fine to me....I found all the fences as usual. dave henrie "res04key" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:XObT5.1851$[email hidden]... > Has anyone downloaded DirectX 8 and is it compatible with GPL? > >

I'd say not with current products. This is more of an advance release for many upcomming programs. Certain hardware combos can probably see more speed gains than I do tho. I have a Piii 500 and V5 5500. dave henrie "Luke Phillips" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:3a1e043e$0$19408$[email hidden]... > Is it any faster? >
I'm not sure if it's DX8 or the 7.17 drivers that supposedly support it for the GeForce but my system seems faster and can now run Toca2 with FSAA on where before it would kill the FPS. I'm running a PIII 933 btw... Jay J "Dave Henrie" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:bpoT5.69214$[email hidden]...
