The video is in the style of the movie, Jackie Stewart features prominently throughout and must have given his permission, if Jackie's happy then so am I. The vid hardly plays like a crash video it's mainly great footage of a classic era. I would guess that whoever directed the video is both a Frankenheimer and F1 fan. If you get a chance to see it, it's way cooool (as my 12 year old daughter would say) a remake of Grand Prix (they've even got the split screen stuff). Bob Williams vs Jackie Stewart Great stuff. GPL fans and Robbie Williams who would have thought it. Regards Mike
>"Mike Blackmore" <[email hidden]> wrote > GPL fans and Robbie Williams who would have thought it. That's a shock to me indeed, but hey ego is a big part of racing <g> `;) Btw what would be the title of that video? -- -- Franois Mnard <ymenard> -- May the Downforce be with you... -- http://www.WeRace.net -- People think it must be fun to be a super genius, but they don't realise how hard it is to put up with all the idiots in the world.
I don't know Yves it's an ok song though, Do try to see it, believe it or not it's classy it's just like a 4 minute version of GP. Sounds good- if there were any way to see it without sitting through hours of MTV's normal garbage I'd try to catch it.

Nothing like it IMO. I see a world of difference between a film made in the late 60's, where the director tries to capture the flavour of racing by depicting a fictional season, in an era where such tragic events were commonplace and more commonly accepted, and some pompous singer of today using real life archive of racing fatalities to promote his crummy pop song. Just my opinion of course. You are entitled to yours. MS Mike Blackmore <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

sounds to me as if Robbie is up to his old tricks again. Making sick videos so they will be banned, the media rants about it = cheap publicity = record sales = pots af cash

I read that old racing footage was used, but is the video a collection of horrible accidents or something like that? Andre
