haha, not a slide that goes from 8000rpm - 14000rpm in a millisecond, from full grip to no grip :) Luke -=87=- James Pickard <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:a57U5.5451$[email hidden]... > So you have never held a 14,000rpm side, eh Luke? That's not what youtold

They have yet to get any bike sim right. Some day maybe the makers will wake up and have real racers like yourselves do the beta testing for them. I remember the AMA Superbike game touting that Dave Sadowski (ex pro superbike racer) was giving them input on the game. Gee, how well did the AMA game turn out. What a joke. Luke Phillips wrote:

After playing around with sbk2001 for a while, i am thinking that i could begin to like the game. It has alot of potential, the only major problem i have with the game is the wheelspin.... 100% unrealistic. I race a superbike in the Australian superbike championship so wold have a fairly good idea what it would be like, and i have never gone through a turn at 8000rpm and just touched the throttle, only to bring it to a 14000rpm slide. There needs to be more slip angle (i think), the wheelspin is just too on or off. The crashes are absolutley awesome, and are pretty hard to fault, the way the rider tumbles is really good and the bike is just as good when it cartwheels down the road after a big highside :). Graphics are by far the best in any bike sim, and push alot of the car sims aswell, the sound is not bad, but its a pitty the VTR1000 (replaced the RC45) still has the RC45 V-4 sound. I would almost garantee that if the wheelspin was fixed, the game would be 10 times more enjoyable, and shows that a realistic motorcycle sim is not out of the question in the near future. Thanks Luke -=87=-

So you have never held a 14,000rpm side, eh Luke? That's not what you told me!!! hehehee (how are you mate? :) I agree, SBK2001 has a LOT of potential, and without the annoying instant wheel spin, it would be just about perfect.
